The course will set out the key components of an M&E system, discuss the different influences on a M&E system and how to manage these, and the steps to take to diagnose and rectify problems with an M&E system. It will also cover how to make decisions on what information to collect, how to summarise and aggregate that information, and how M&E systems differ for projects, complex programmes and organisations.
This course is intended for professionals who already have some experience of monitoring and evaluation. It has been designed to build on and enhance participant’s skills and understanding of M&E and work through some of the practical challenges commonly faced in designing and managing M&E systems*.*
Course Structure: The Monitoring and Evaluation Systems Advanced Online Course, delivered over the course of 4 weeks, will give you access to:
- INTRAC e-learning platform, with self-paced activities to be completed before/after live sessions, and further resources such as handouts and recordings;
- Four weekly interactive live sessions facilitated by our experienced trainers, which will include small group discussions and live exercises;
- Opportunities to interact with other participants on the programme through the e-learning platform and the live sessions;
- One 50-minute individual mentoring session with one of the trainers.
